Knitty Gritty Baby
Knitting is
not only one of the oldest art forms, I truly believe it is one of the
chicest. I would love to be able to knit, crochet, hook, etc. but alas
I was blessed with the inability to grasp the basic concepts of tying
one on (well unless you are talking about drinking and then that is a
different story).
Oh how I long to be Julia Roberts with her children frolicking while she
knits up a storm. I wish to create beautiful heirloom quality items for
my Ruby and glow while she wears them and everyone asks her "did you mother
make that?". For now I will just rely on some of the talented women I
have met over the last couple years to clothe my child in unique, handcrafted
garments.
Recently Ruby (right) was gifted with the most beautiful poncho. A lovely
yellow with green flowers which surprisingly she enjoys wearing. Let's
be honest, sometimes no sleeves and just a neck hole tends to freak kids
out, but I believe that she understands that it is one of the most amazing
items she owns and she really does enjoy wearing it. I enjoy that everyone
asks if I made it but to their utter shock I am sure- I did not. To this
